Since a young age, Alexia has taken a keen interest in writing, both poetry and prose. Until they were about fourteen, they focused far more on that latter. As their interest in composition has grown, they have found that the former comes more naturally to them. They feel the nature of poetry allows rhythm, sound and structure to be explored perhaps in greater depth than prose, and so the link with music is stronger.
Their writing is inspired by very similar themes to those found in their music: Buddhism, other aspects of philosophy and psychology, nature and environmental issues.
Since text cannot be published after it has been posted online, Alexia’s poetry is not available here. However, if you would like to read some examples of their work, please don’t hesitate to contact them. They would love to hear from campaigners, composers, visual artists, or anyone with a connection to the written word.
